Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to take the courses in order?
Without a strong background in AI, it is recommended that you take AI for Health Care: Concepts and Applications before Innovation with AI in Health Care as the former program covers more foundational concepts upon which Innovation with AI in Health Care builds.
If I complete only one of the courses, will I still receive the certificate?
Participants must complete both courses in order to receive the Business Applications for AI in Health Care Certificate of Specialization.
Can I substitute another ECPE program for one of the AI courses in order to receive the certificate?
Only the two AI courses—AI for Health Care: Concepts and Applications and Innovation with AI Health Care—can be used to obtain the certificate. You cannot substitute another ECPE program for one of these two courses.
I took Applied Artificial Intelligence for Health Care in 2021 or 2022—does that count towards the certificate?
Yes. AI for Health Care: Concepts and Applications is an updated version of the program you attended, so in order to obtain the certificate, you only need to take Innovation with AI in Health Care.
I took Applied Artificial Intelligence for Health Care in 2021 or 2022—should I take either of these two new courses?
Both courses in the certificate are suitable for participants who have taken previous iterations of “Applied AI in Healthcare.” The speed at which AI is developing means that some of the core lessons and insights have updated slightly. The new group projects will also encourage engagement of the material in a collaborative, problem-driven setting. Some of the material in both courses does overlap with previous iterations, but this should serve as a useful refresher—participants can review the course agenda on the program pages if interested in details.
