AI in Health Care: Certificate of Specialization comprises three programs designed to help participants realize the value of AI in health care and advance their careers by demonstrating leadership in the digital transformation of health care. Responsible AI for Health Care: Concepts and Applications

For health care professionals, this program will help you think like a data scientist. It takes a “zero-to-AI” approach, using Harvard faculty to introduce AI beginners to key foundational concepts. This course outlines health care-specific subtleties that arise and places AI in the larger health care systems context. Find out how AI can change the relationship between doctor and patient and learn key principles for implementing ethical AI.
Innovation with AI in Health Care

This course is designed to help leaders of health care organizations develop the skills needed to realize the value of AI in health care and advance their careers through demonstrating leadership in digital transformation of health care. It also brings together a diverse community of leaders from the technical, clinical, and business worlds.
Implementing Health Care AI into Clinical Practice

This executive education program equips clinicians and executives with the cross-disciplinary knowledge and skills needed to ensure AI solutions are implemented successfully in clinical practice. Through case studies, small group discussions, and interactive sessions led by Harvard faculty, you will gain hands-on experience in each step of the AI implementation process
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to take the courses in order?
Without a strong background in AI, it is recommended that you take AI for Health Care: Concepts and Applications before either Innovation with AI in Health Care or Implementing Health Care AI into Clinical Practice as the former program covers more foundational concepts upon which the other courses build.
If I complete only one of the courses, will I still receive the certificate?
Participants must complete all 3 courses in order to receive the AI in Health Care Certificate of Specialization.
I took Applied Artificial Intelligence for Health Care in 2021 or 2022—does that count towards the certificate?
Yes. Responsible AI for Health Care: Concepts and Applications is an updated version of the program you attended, so in order to obtain the certificate, you only need to take Innovation with AI in Health Care and Implementing Health Care AI into Clinical Practice
