Getting On and Adding Value

The program will be delivered on-site at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in Boston, MA from April 18-19, 2024.

This exciting course will put women and those who support women on a productive path towards attaining a board directorship in the health sector by focusing on the strategies and competencies that will help them succeed at being a first-rate and sought-after board member. As a participant, you will: 

  • Learn the essential legal, regulatory, and operating knowledge you will need to serve on boards of directors; 

  • Develop a deep understanding of your roles and responsibilities as an effective board member; 

  • Connect with, and learn from, people who have achieved success as board members; and 

  • Develop an individual action plan to seek and secure a position on a board. 

Participants in this course will be highly-accomplished leaders from diverse industries seeking positions on boards of directors in the health care industry and/or have a demonstrated commitment to supporting the representation of women on corporate boards. Ideal participants will have held executive-level positions and have a minimum of ten years of management and leadership experience. Executives currently holding board positions who wish to expand their engagement with boards in health and related industries are also invited to attend.
